Officers with the Metro Nashville Police Department located a missing 12-year-old runaway after asking for the public's help in their search.
Officials said Javontez Staten is a habitual runaway. He reportedly fled from his mother’s car in downtown Nashville Saturday evening.
She reported him missing the next day. During previous runaway incidents, Javontez was found in his Indiana Avenue neighborhood in West Nashville.
Youth Services detectives found Staten in his neighborhood off Indiana Avenue Tuesday afternoon. He was in good health and was taken to Juvenile Court.
