Money Raised At Safe Haven Dinner With Dierks Bentley

A Nashville restaurant was packed with people supporting the family charity "Safe Haven" thanks to its partnership with country music star Dierks Bentley.

Taqueria del Sol held its second annual "A Taqueria Holiday.”

Safe Haven provides a place for the whole family to stay when disaster hits -- like losing your home.

Bentley and his family spearheaded the event as he did last year. He said thinking about families in need is especially important this time of year.

"It's just especially this time of year think about folks that, you lost your home, lost your job, you're going through hell, and you know we were talking to our kids on the way over tonight like what would we do if we didn't have our home where would we go tonight, there's this place that takes in not just the mother, the father, but takes in the whole family, and it's a beautiful facility," he said.

For every dollar spent Monday night, Dierks, his family, and a couple of others, will match it  five fold.

Safe Haven received $30,000 at last year's event.
