An investigation has been opened into an elementary student who brought a gun to a Clarksville-Montgomery County school.
According to spokesperson, Elise Shelton, a Minglewood Elementary School student brought the gun to school Wednesday morning.
No one was threatened nor was anyone injured. However, a number of students saw the weapon.
Shelton said appropriate action would be taken, according to the Student Code of Conduct, with the student who brought the weapon.
School officials sent a reminder to parents on the importance of talking with their children regarding safety concerns and reporting to adults following the incident.
Authorities were handling investigation.
