ROCKFORD, Ill. – Additional details have been released about the man who attacked moviegoers in Antioch this week.
Officials in Rockford, Illinois said he was wanted there for domestic battery and property damage.
Vincente Montano lived in Illinois before moving to Tennessee.
Both warrants for Montano were filed in 2009. In the domestic battery situation he was accused of punching a family member.
Neighbors said they knew Montano had problems.
"We had multiple occasions where we could be just sitting out front and the police would show up maybe once a week, maybe once every other week there for a time," said Dan Pohl, a former neighbor.
On Wednesday, Montano went into the Carmike Cinema off Bell Road in Antioch and attacked two women with pepper spray.
He used a hatchet when another movie-goer tried to intervene.
He was shot dead by police who responded to the theater. No one else was seriously hurt.
The theater has been expected to re-open Monday.
