More than 30 animals were rescued from what authorities called a hoarding situation in Dickson County.
Dickson County Sheriff’s deputies were called to a home in Dickson on Wednesday. Officials said they rescued more than 30 dogs and four cats from the residence.
All animals were taken to a facility on Eno Road where volunteers and work crews are nursing them back to health.
"What bothers me the most is that there were people who knew this was going on and didn’t bother to turn the person in or try and get help," said Carrie Parker Peery with the Dickson County Humane Society.
The animals are currently being cared for at the Dickson County Humane Society. Volunteers and donations are needed.
