NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A motorcyclist has died after he crashed into another vehicle on Nolensville Pike near Zoo Road on Sunday evening.
The man has since been identified as Jovel H. Portillo-Ramirez, 20, of Sunrise Lane.
According to police, Portillo-Ramirez was riding north on Nolensville Pike on a Suzuki motorcycle when he struck the side of a Honda Pilot SUV.
The Honda was turning left out of a business when a witness reported that the motorcycle changed lanes from behind another vehicle and accelerated quickly.
The driver of the pilot was not seriously injured. Nor were her four passengers.
Portillo-Ramirez was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he died shortly after his arrival.
