Officials in Mt. Juliet responded to a fire at a commercial building that shut down a road and damaged multiple businesses.
The fire was confirmed at a strip mall containing about eight business locations on Lebanon Road Friday morning.
No injuries were reported from the fire. According to those on the scene, at least one business had fire damage, and multiple others had smoke damage.
One of the businesses, called the Barking Lot, had about 15 animals inside, and all were rescued.
Authorities said they shut down Lebanon Road between North Greenhill Road and South Greenhill Road while they were on the scene. The roadway reopened about an hour later.
