Nashville pastor Bishop Joseph Walker was honored tonight in a "Spiritual Sons and Daughters" service.
He celebrated 25 years as senior pastor of Mount Zion Baptist Church.
In 1992, Mount Zion was just a small congregation of about 175 members.
Now, the ministry has grown to more than 30,000 with three different worship locations.
In the past two decades, Mount Zion has also made major strides in community outreach.
Just last night, council members voted to name a bridge on Jefferson Street after Bishop Walker in honor of his service.
