Officials at Middle Tennessee State University held a special unveiling ceremony honoring country music legend Charlie Daniels and his contribution to the university.
Daniels and his wife Hazel unveiled the plaque Tuesday that will showcase their contribution on MTSU's campus. The school's military and veteran's center was named the "Charlie and Hazel Daniels Military and Veteran Center."
The Daniels have donated over $100,000 to the school's military and veteran's center through their non-profit "The Journey Home."
Daniels said growing up in a port city during World War II was what started his pride for our armed forces.
