MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WTVF) — The Middle Tennessee State University football team is mourning a member of the Blue Raiders family.

Former player Brandon Archer drowned in the Buffalo River on Monday.

During MTSU's game against Tennessee State University on Saturday night, the team wore a decal with his initials B-A and No. 19 on their helmets.

They will wear it the rest of the season.

According to the Daily News Journal, coach Rick Stockstill called Archer a hard worker and good student.

Archer was a member of the team for three years.
