Metro Nashville police arrested multiple people in two drug busts late Monday.
In the first case, detectives approached people at a home on Baton Rouge Drive in Hermitage after receiving complaints from neighbors about possible drug activity. When detectives knocked on the door, they said they smelled a strong odor of marijuana.
After searching the home, police said they found 72 grams of cocaine, 51 grams of heroin, 53 pills, and 11 grams of marijuana. Officers said they also found more than $5,000 in cash, seven handguns, and four long guns. Mario Brooks was arrested on 24 counts.
In a second case, officers served a search warrant at a home on Steamboat Drive in Nashville in connection with an ongoing narcotics investigation.
During the search, officers noticed there were three people sitting in a vehicle that was parked just outside the home. Inside the vehicle, police said they found three guns, cash, marijuana, and heroin.
Tyrhe Johnson, Keesean Campbell, and Dyjuan Bowers were all arrested at that scene.
