MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Authorities said a fire at the Tennessee Park Apartments appeared to be intentionally set.
The fire happened just before 9 p.m. Sunday night in a bedroom at the apartment complex in the 2300 block of Mercury Boulevard.
Crews found light smoke coming from one of the apartments when they arrived on scene and discovered a fire in the bedroom.
Officials said the fire was quickly put out and the damage was contained to the bedroom.
Three residents were displaced and staying with family.
“At this time, we are asking for the public’s assistance with any information that can move this investigation forward,” said Assistant Fire Marshal Michael Bartlett.
