A Murfreesboro woman was charged after allegedly neglecting her dog.
According to the police report, Briza Palomino Ortega told police her dog died after she left it tied up without food and water.
She said she then threw the dog's body in a tree line behind her house.
She was charged with aggravated animal cruelty, and was cited by PAWS with three additional charges.
