BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (AP) - The National Corvette Museum in Kentucky says it plans to start removing cars from a sinkhole that opened beneath the museum last month.
The museum plans to begin taking cars out of the hole on Monday.
On February 12, a large sinkhole swallowed eight prized cars like they were toys, piling them in a heap amid loose dirt and concrete fragments.
The museum says the first car to be removed will be the 2009 ZR1 Blue Devil.
Other cars that were swallowed by the hole were a 1993 ZR-1 Spyder, a 1962 black Corvette, a 1984 PPG Pace Car, a 1992 White 1 Millionth Corvette, a 1993 Ruby Red 40th Anniversary Corvette, a 2001 Mallett Hammer Z06 Corvette and a 2009 white 1.5 Millionth Corvette.
