A local car dealer was taken for a ride after a Mustang test drive that went wrong when the driver stole the car and crashed it.
Officials with the Murfreesboro Police said Michael Owens posed as a buyer and took a Mustang for a test drive.
Yet, at one point during the drive, the salesman got out of the car and the driver locked him out. That's when Owens sped away.
Police spotted the suspect a short time later. During the chase, Owens crashed the $60,000 car in a ditch.
He ran away from the car and got away from police, but a warrant has been issued for his arrest.
