We see products on television shows all the time but tracking them down can be a challenge. Now, one local company is combining the online-shopping and TV-watching experience.

Meet Alecia -- a Nashville-based company taking that idea and running with it. Alicia Vimala is the founder and CEO.

"So we're definitely the first to market. It’s been an idea that’s been around. People have wanted to do this. Social media is becoming more shop-able people want to make more forms of media shop-able but the logistics to make that happen is so challenging it hasn’t been done yet," she said.

Vimila says she really didn't set out to build a company.

"I just couldn't’t stop thinking about it," she said.

Now, she not only has a company, Alecia has a growing body of streaming content.

"Movies, short-form, how-to, lifestyle videos," she said.

The app is free and the idea is simple. Just watch and see what catches your eye. For more information click here
