Nashville Fire Officials See Steep Increase In Overdose Cases

The Nashville Fire Department reported a 154 percent increase in the number of overdoses they have treated since May of last year.

Fire officials reported they treated 155 patients who presented signs of an overdose with Narcan in that time.

Year to date: the fire department has treated 636 patients with Narcan, which is a 101 percent increase when compared to June of 2017.
