NASHVILLE, Tenn. - A new proposal by the City of Nashville would give away 18 plots of land for free but there is catch which would benefit those looking for affordable homes.
City officials said the land will only be given away to non-profit developers who must then build and sell homes at market value.
The 18-pieces of land were acquired by the city through various tax seizures; it will be given away in cooperation with the Barnes Fund.
