Nashville Group Looks To Spread Kindness

Posted

As people walked through Five Points on Wednesday, they were met by cheerful faces and free pizza.

“I’m paying it forward, random act of kindness day!” Theron Denson, better known as The Black Diamond, said while helping pass out pizza.

The event was put on by Humanity Revolution, a Nashville company focused on inspiring people to put differences second, and kindness first.

“We want to create a ripple effect all through Nashville today.” Melissa King, founder of Humanity Revolution, said, adding that she hopes these random acts of kindness can continue past Wednesday. “Our overall goal is for every single person in Nashville to put someone else before themselves once a day, and if you do that, think about the world you’ll live in.”

King said kindness can be something as simple as paying a compliment to someone, paying for their coffee, or like on Wednesday, giving them a free slice of pizza.

“Make sure you pay it back with another random act of kindness.” King said to one person who was given pizza on Wednesday.

King hopes these acts of kindness will catch on, making Nashville a kinder place.
