Metro Police and the district attorney's office padlocked a home in South Nashville at the center of an ongoing drug investigation.
Members of the police department's gang unit and the District Attorney's office both participated in the investigation.
The home at 66 Robertson Street sits across the street from Napier Elementary School.
The home was searched and padlocked by police Wednesday afternoon. The owner, 75-year-old Katie Sharber and resident, 56-year-old Milton Anthony, were arrested.
Police said Sharber and Anthony are alleged to have knowledge of, and participated in the illegal drug trade.
Sharber will be charged with selling cocaine and dispensing drugs illegally upon her release from the hospital. Anthony is charged with four counts of selling cocaine and dispensing drugs illegally.
Metro police said the home was the subject of a drug investigation for the last several years. Since December of 2007, police were called to the home 66 times. During the most recent investigation, police said the elementary school was in session while drug deals took place at the home.
"Obviously any residence involved in the sale of illegal drugs is a concern," said Capt. Mike Anderson with the Metro Police Department. "This home even more so due to the fact that an elementary school is in close proximity.
Police said the home would remain boarded up for the time being. Officers will continue to keep a close watch on the property.
