Nashville Liquor Store Burglaries May Be Connected

Posted
and last updated

Police believe an overnight liquor store burglary may be connected to others reported in the Nashville area in the past two weeks.

The latest smash-and-grab happened around 1:30 a.m. Monday at Mr. Whiskers Discount Wine and Liquors.

Metro Nashville Police officers were called to the scene on White Bridge Road after someone smashed the window with a rock.

Officers said a man who had his face covered and gloves on broke inside and took an unknown amount of liquor bottles.

A worker at a Panera Bread across the street saw something suspicious and called police. They said the burglar was in and out of the store within two minutes.

While it's hard to say for sure, police do believe this burglary may be connected to some of the others over the last few weeks.

Just last week, a smash-and-grab was reported at a liquor store in Brentwood. In that case, the suspect got away with six to seven bottles of liquor.

Anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers at 615-74-CRIME.
