Thousands of people laced up their running shoes for the Nashville Marathon, half marathon, and 5K.
The start and finish lines were just outside First Tennessee park on 5th Avenue North for the marathon held on Saturday morning.
The marathon was a Boston qualifier route, which helped it attract runners from all over the country.
Proceeds from the event were set to go to Gilda's Club of Middle Tennessee to help people battling cancer receive social and emotional support.
