Nashville Shores Goes To The Dogs This Weekend With 'Wags 'N Waves'

Fall is around the corner and that means pools closing, but the fun isn't over quite yet. Nashville Shores is shutting their doors to humans -- so why not let the dogs out to play?

"We will have three, different swimming areas. The wave pool and then we will also have a splash pad for the ones who aren't too sure about the water yet," said Dana Guettner with Nashville Shores Lakeside Resort.

Guettner says this is the first year the water park is going to the dogs. They're calling it Wags 'N Waves.

Pet parents and their furry friends can enjoy the pool for the day, and ticket proceeds will benefit Nashville non-profit, New Leash On Life

"We have an adoption center, a low-cost spay/neuter clinic and a pet food assistance program," said Angela Chapman with New Leash On Life.

Humans can wade into the water, but no swimming is allowed. You can leave toys at home, they've got you covered. Dog owners will be required to show proof of current rabies vaccinations before entering the park.

Wags 'N Waves is Saturday, September 22, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. If you buy your tickets before September 20, tickets are $15. One admission ticket allows you to bring up to two dogs. For more information and all pool policies click here.
