While some kids are buried in their smart phones, one Nashville teen is going old-school.
"This is the game I created when I was going into fifth grade," said Jackson Lefler.
A few years back, Lefler said he was feeling bored.
"So I took a bunch of ideas from games that I had played before," he said.
With the help of his friends, family and a successful Kickstarter campaign -- BLDR was born.
BLDR is a fast-paced card game where players race to see who can build a structure like an airport, museum, sky scraper or a bridge.
Now, 13-year-old Lefler said BLDR is a game of both strategy and luck and said he feels lucky to see his idea turned real -- built from the ground up.
"It feels awesome. I never thought it would get this far," he said.
The game is available locally at Brilliant Sky or on Amazon. Click here for more information.
