NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Three Davidson County Charter Amendments were up for a vote, and only one passed.

Both Amendment One and Amendment Two failed in the polls.

Amendment One would have extended term limits for Metro Council members from two terms of four years each to three terms.

Also failing was Amendment Two, which dealt with term limits as well, but would have also reduced the council's size from 40 members to 27.

The one amendment that passed with voters was Amendment Three, which has had a lot of boots on the ground these last couple of months.

The measure required all publicly-funded projects to hire at least 40 percent of its workers from Davidson County.
