The Republican National Convention will not be coming to Music City in 2020.
Butch Spyridon, president and CEO of the Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp released a statement saying Music City would not be the host.
"After extensive review of the RFP due to available dates and necessary space our office notified the RNC in February of this year that we unfortunately would not be submitting a bid."
Some local GOP leaders have hoped the 2020 convention would come here by winning over the RNC during it's summer meeting in Nashville.
