Officials and guests at the Nashville Zoo raised awareness for Autism, for Autism Awareness month.
It's estimated that one in every 68 children in the U.S. will be diagnosed as being on the Autism Spectrum this year.
For those kids, even a trip to the zoo can be overwhelming
“It's kind of sensory overload when you visit a place like ours, but we do want people to realize our goal is to be an inclusive organization,” said Chad fifer, Education Director with the zoo.
Sunday’s third annual event at the Zoo featured activities and tours designed for people and children on the Autism Spectrum.
