Nashvillians Joining Meetup Groups To Discuss Cryptocurrency

Posted
and last updated

You've probably heard about cryptocurrencies, like Bitcoin, Litecoin and Ethereum. Nashvillians are meeting-up to educate themselves about this growing tech.

Now that Bitcoin is a household name, more and more people have cyptocurrencies in their digital wallets.

Some investors got in years ago. But others are new to the idea of digital-currency (those currencies that can be transferred without the use of a centralized bank).

Now, Nashvillians are looking for ways to educate themselves about the technology with meet-up groups.

Before you buy, the Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance reminds investors to approach cryptocurrency with caution. Like any currency, they do carry risk. There have been wild price-fluctuations and cryptocurrencies have an unproven track record.

Still some investors are excited about the new technology and willing to take the risk.
