Nashvillians sounded off about a proposed ordinance that would de-criminalize the possession of small amounts of marijuana.
Earlier this month, Metro Council voted a second time to advance the ordinance.
Currently, less than a half ounce of pot could send someone to jail for up to a year and a $2,500 fine.
However, the proposal would make it a civil offense - like a traffic ticket.
Photojournalist Bud Nelson heard what people in Nashville had to say on both sides of the issue.
Council was set to vote on the proposal a third time in October.
