Bruce Springsteen signs tardy slip for young fan

It’s not every day that Bruce Springsteen is in town — and it’s not every day a rock legend can get you out of school.

But that’s exactly what happened earlier this week when 9-year-old Xabi Glovsky went to see “The Boss” at the Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena on Tuesday evening. Apparently, Glovsky did a little too much “Dancing In the Dark” at the concert, which would have led to a rough Wednesday morning at school.

Luckily, Springsteen came through with a personally-signed tardy slip to excuse Glovsky from morning classes.

Bruce Springsteen signed Xabi's tardy note for school tomorrow. He is as genuine and gracious as you think he is!

Dear Ms. Jackson,
Xabi has been out very late rocking and rolling. Please excuse him if he is tardy!
Best,
Bruce Springsteen

It’s unclear if Springsteen provided Xabi’s father with a get-out-of-work pass.
