EDITORIAL CARTOON: Goodbye, Aretha

and last updated

Aretha Franklin, the legendary Queen of Soul, died after a battle with cancer Thursday at the age of 76. Franklin's career spanned half a century, immortalized by hits such as "RESPECT" and "(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman." Her voice, her energy and her stage presence were powerful even in recent years. Aretha may be gone, but her songs and her legacy will be with us forever.
