Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump, infamous for making brash comments, sent the audience of Thursday’s Republican debate roaring in laughter when he responded to days-old insult by Florida Senator Marco Rubio.

Earlier this week, Rubio joked with a Virginia crowd that Trump has small hands for his height. The joke came after the billionaire property mogul poked fun at Rubio’s height.

"He's always calling me 'Little Marco,'" Rubio said at the rally. "And I'll admit ... he's taller than me, he's like 6-2. Which is why I don't understand why his hands are the size of someone who's 5-2."

He continued with a smile, "And you know what they say about guys with small hands," prompting laughter from the shocked crowd.

It all seemed lighthearted, but continuing the theme of dragged out feuds this election season, it wasn’t over just yet.

At Thursday’s debate, Trump once again referenced Rubio's joke and responded with a comment of his own.

"I guarantee you, there's no problem,” he said, holding his hands up for the audience to see. Attendees cracked up, and even Fox News moderator Megyn Kelly – who isn’t the biggest Trump fan, to say the least – couldn’t help but grin.

Trump and Rubio were joined on stage by Texas Senator Ted Cruz and Ohio Governor John Kasich for what marked the first Republican debate since Super Tuesday.

See below for the candidates’ latest delegate numbers.

Trump: 329

Cruz: 231

Marco Rubio: 110

John Kasich: 25

A total of 1,237 delegates are needed to win the Republican nomination for president.
