The tease of knowing a “Harry Potter” prequel is coming, but without having any details to get a real visual, has finally come to an end.
Fresh new details and images of the film “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” have finally emerged, giving die-hard fans even more to look forward to as they wait for the November 2016 premiere.
Written by J.K. Rowling, the film will mark the beloved author’s screenplay debut and is directed by David Yates, who took the wheel in the last four “Harry Potter” films.
Set in 1926, New York – 70 years before Harry, Ron and Hermione are ever introduced – the story follows the adventures of the author who penned a Hogwarts textbook of the same name. That textbook was only referenced once in the entire Potter series.

The author, Newt Scamander -- played by Oscar-winner Eddie Redmayne -- is a “magizoologist,” or someone who studies magical creatures, the National Post details. First photos of the film show Redmayne alongside co-stars Katherine Waterston as Porpentina “Tina” Goldstein, Alison Sudol as Queenie Goldstein, and Dan Fogler as Jacob Kowalski.
“Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” also stars Colin Farrell, Samantha Morton and Ezra Miller.
The National Post further details, “Rumour has it the film will also be set at an American wizarding school, much like Hogwarts, and will include an appearance by the Magical Congress of the United States of America (or MACUSA), the U.S. equivalent of the Ministry of Magic.”
To top it off, the word "muggle" is no longer. In "Fantastic Beasts," a non-witch or non-wizard will be referred to as a "no-maj."
We know, it's a lot to take in.
