Secret Service agents jumped onto stage at a Bernie Sanders rally in Oakland, California, Monday night when at least four people rushed the stage as the Democratic presidential candidate was speaking.

CNN reports that several agents hugged Sanders and pushed him away from the microphone.

It reportedly occurred at Frank Ogawa Plaza.

The Vermont senator was apparently unfazed, continuing to speak after the incident (watch below).

The individuals, whose identities are unknown, reportedly yelled as they approached the stage. They were apprehended on scene.

NBC Bay Area said the group appeared to be animal rights protesters.

Sanders, who began receiving Secret Service protection in early February, was uninjured.

He reportedly told the crowd afterwards, “We don’t get intimidated easily.”
