Taco Bell’s loss is your early-morning win.
After losing a Major League Baseball World Series bet, the fast food chain is making good on its promise to give away free A.M. crunchwraps, which it will do Thursday between 7 a.m. and 11 a.m.
Taco Bell’s promise came last month, when the chain said it would give away free food if a base was stolen during the first or second game of the series.
And Lorenzo Cain, of the Kansas City Royals, did just that in the first game on Oct. 27.

Bloomberg estimates that as a result, the 6,000 participating restaurants will hand out two of the breakfast sandwiches, which normally cost $2.50, every minute Thursday morning.
According to Bloomberg’s projections, Taco Bell is looking to spend upwards of $10 million on Thursday simply giving away free food. That number takes into account the price of making the wrap, as well as advertising and promotional costs.
It’s a huge payout, but perhaps things will even out if customers buy other items – such as sides or drinks – when picking up their free meals.
On a side note, the wraps are so cheap that simply buying one another time won’t put much of a dent in your wallet – but doesn’t everything just taste better when it’s free?
