What’s the most disturbing thing a gigantic alligator can be caught doing?

Eating a smaller version of itself.

That may have never crossed our minds had we not seen this video out of Lakeland, Florida, on a 1,267-acre reserve, according to The Huffington Post.

According to a description for the video he posted to YouTube, which now has over 730,000 views, Alex Figueroa estimated the larger gator to be 11 or 12 feet long.

He wasn’t the sole witness, though. Multiple people caught the sight and posted clips online for hundreds of thousands to see.

My heart was racing,” witness Andrew Lilyquist told WFTS in nearby Tampa. “I just saw that big head and I said ok this is going to be great.”

According to experts, this type of behavior in alligators is common, especially during mating season when they are more aggressive.
