NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A neighbor saved a Nashville man when his home caught fire on Labor Day.
A homeowner in North Nashville said he was asleep when he woke up to his neighbor pounding on his door, saying the house was on fire.
The home on the 1600 Block of Knowles Street caught fire Monday evening. The man was able to escape with his four dogs.
Flames and smoke were pouring from the back of the home when firefighters arrived, but they were able to quickly put it out.
The cause of the fire was not known, but the damage was extensive and fire officials said the home is now unlivable.
