NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Today NewsChannel 5 is partnering with the American Red Cross for the Missing Types Blood Drive.
So this season, the Red Cross is banding together with local businesses and community organizations looking for missing letters A, B, and O.
Tiffany Taylor, who represents the Tennessee and River Valley Regions for the American Red Cross, says only three out of a 100 people give blood and that's just not enough.
"Just one donation can help save up to three lives,” she said. “And the people you help are your friends and neighbors. Even strangers.”
The blood drive runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. today at the American Red Cross on Charlotte Avenue. You can go to RedCrossBlood.org to make an appointment to donate.
