The officer who was injured in an assault at the James Cayce housing development has returned to work.
Officer Matthew Cammarn returned to work Friday.

He was injured during a fight at the housing development last week. A cell phone surfaced from the fight showing one person taking him to the ground and others kicking him while he was down.
The beating prompted changes at the Metro Police Department.
Any officer going to Cayce homes must have backup. They also started a new crime reduction initiative, and added two mobile camera systems at the housing development.
