A Metro Nashville Police Officer was taken to an area hospital after a crash overnight involving a suspected drunk driver.
Officers said a woman crashed into a power pole at Old Harding Pike at South Colony Drive in Bellevue around midnight Thursday.
While officers were investigating that crash, another driver slammed in to the back of the officer's patrol car.
The officer was taken to St. Thomas West Hospital and is expected to be okay.
Both drivers involved were arrested under the suspicion of DUI.
At one point, several thousand people in Bellevue were without power.
