LA VERGNE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Police arrested two robbery suspects while working a crash on Interstate 24.

La Vergne police said 29-year-old Jacob Macdonald and 23-year-old Sydney Sorrell were arrested around 8 a.m. Wednesday at mile marker 58. An officer was working a crash with Metro police when he recognized their car, the driver and license plate.

The officer followed the car and pulled them over on the side of the interstate. Macdonald and Sorrell were both taken into custody.

Back in August, the same officer tried to pull them over during a pursuit.

Smyrna police had warrants out for both suspects in connection to an armed robbery on August 18. Police said charges against them are pending.
