Metro Nashville Police officers stumbled upon an active meth lab inside a home where they were serving a search warrant.

Officials said Police were serving the warrant at a home on Davidson Street in East Nashville Monday afternoon.

Nashville firefighters responded to the home. A total of nine officers were possibly contaminated during the discovery; so as a precaution they were being decontaminated. Those who needed further treatment then drove themselves to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

A total of four suspects were also decontaminated and then taken to the hospital.
