ANTIOCH, Tenn. (WTVF) — A quick getaway puts two Metro Nashville police officers in danger at an apartment complex in Antioch.

Officers were called about a report of car burglaries at the Cedar Point Apartments near Bell Road at about 11:00p.m. Monday. As the officers arrived, a group of people in two cars were speeding away. According to police, one of the vehicles sped off while the second crashed into the driver's side of the patrol vehicle.

The patrol vehicle was hit so hard that it stopped running. The second vehicle got away on Bell Road, but the officers were able to see in which direction they headed.

The two officers involved suffered minor injuries and didn't have to go to the hospital. Metro Police have not released a description of the vehicles involved.
