NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Metro police officers were searching near the Cumberland River for a man who escaped police custody on Wednesday.
Police searched for the man near the intersection of Jefferson Street and Cowan Street. They believe the man, wearing handcuffs and a white tank top, was running down the bank of the river.
Officers used thermal imaging cameras from their helicopter to search from above and a boat to look from the water.
