MANCHESTER, Tenn. (WTVF) — An investigation has gotten underway following a deadly travel trailer fire in Coffee County.
Crews were called to the Barton Springs recreation area, located on Frank Hiles Road, at 5:30 p.m. Sunday.
When they arrived, the travel trailer was fully engulfed in flames. A body was later recovered from the charred debris.
The person has not yet been identified.
Officials said they’re still investigating the origin of the blaze, as well as the person’s cause of death.
Multiple agencies were called to the scene, including the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and representatives with the Tennessee Bomb and Arson unit.
