Hundreds of people have signed a petition to get officer Joshua Lippert Fired. Lippert is the Metro Nashville Police Officer who shot and killed Jocques Clemmons.
The petition circulating online asks Mayor Megan Barry, Police Chief Steve Anderson and the police department's Director of Professional Accountability to fire Officer Lippert.
Just last month, the D.A. announced the state would not seek criminal charges against Lippert after he shot and killed Jocques Clemmons in February.
However, this petition demands his termination saying that by "continuing to employ him, you are creating more division, unease, and a public safety concern."
