Optional School Application Period Begins In Nashville

The school application period began in Nashville Monday with parents being able to fill out Optional School Applications.

The applications give Metro parents the option to choose which one of the 90 option schools in the Metro district.

On the application, parents can rank their top seven schools.

Then in December, they student's application will go through a random selection process.

Parents were reminded to check their child's backpack as each student should have received an application Monday.

The paper application is due by 5:30 p.m. Dec. 2. Online applications are due by 11:59 p.m. the same day.
