NASHVILLE, Tenn. - NewsChannel 5 viewers opened their wallets and showed just how generous they can be.
Thanks to local businesses and callers we were able to raise over $2 million during the Children's Miracle Network Hospital Telethon Sunday.
That was a grand total of $2,248,465.74. That's more than last year!
All the money was set to stay here in Nashville for the Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt.
Every year, the hospital has served more than 300,000 kids from all over the Southeast.
