NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A crash on Interstate 40 overnight caused the death of one individual.
The crash happened just before midnight in the eastbound lanes of I-40, near the Charlotte Pike exit in West Nashville.
According to police, the car went off the road and hit the guardrail. Police have not yet learned why.
The sole vehicle involved in this crash overturned as it hit the guardrail.
The crash shut down the lanes of I-40 for most of the night.
