NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — An unexpected power outage at the Nashville Humane Association (NHA), forced shelter officials to ask for emergency overnight, and Nashville showed up in a big way.
NHA posted about the outage on their social media pages. With temps in the high 90s, officials knew the animals would overheat if left in the building without air conditioning.
The organization had plenty of volunteers step up to help them out and serve as fosters for the animals, NHA said in a separate Facebook post.
We. Are. Humbled," NHA said. "NASHVILLE YOU SHOWED UP!!! We have more than enough Fosters for ROVERNIGHTS. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!!!"
The Nashville Humane Association says nine of the 92 animals who were emergency fostered ended up getting adopted.
Good job, Nashville.
